The supply of the raw material takes place with authorized and suitable means of transport at a controlled temperature. FAR-PET implements a daily exchange with the slaughterhouses in the area (weekly with foreign slaughterhouses), of packaging materials suitable for food, carefully washed and sanitized, in order to guarantee a safe and hygienic supply of raw materials.
Upon arrival at Far-Pet, a careful quality control is carried out, following the consolidated experience of the employees and the legislative criteria in force in the sector, immediately after the raw materials are placed in a cooling cell at – 4°, in the case of fresh marketed materials or in blast chilling tunnels at -30°/-40°, for products that are intended for freezing. The next morning the goods are ready to be placed in the order preparation cycle.
The selection of foreign suppliers follows the reference standards of the sector in force in the EU, in strict compliance with the pre-reporting of each batch to the National Health System through the reference UVAC office, through the S.INTE.S.I information system.
